Coracle has launched its first Scottish prison pilot at Sodexo-run HMP Addiewell, marking a new step after nine years of use across England and Wales.

The secure, offline laptops (now 3,000+ across 100+ sites) give prisoners access to preloaded learning, supporting Open University and other education pathways.

Coracle cites independent research showing £16 saved for every £1 spent, via improved post-release employment and reduced violence and self-harm.
